Our Wedding

It started with a Hinge match.Two Kennesaw State students who somehow never crossed paths on campus, even though we were there at the same time. One message turned into a conversation, that conversation turned into a first date at Chili’s, and from there, we pretty much never stopped talking.What started as getting to know each other quickly became study dates, hours long FaceTime calls, random adventures, and finding any excuse we could to spend time together. We became best friends without really trying, and somewhere along the way, what we had started to feel like something that was going to last forever. We cannot really point to one exact moment when it happened. We just know that life kept getting better with each other in it.Over the past five years, we have grown up together in so many ways. We have celebrated milestones, supported each other through the hard days, laughed more than we could ever count, and made more memories than we ever imagined when we first matched on Hinge. We have traveled to more than 20 places together, experienced new cities and new adventures side by side, and somehow always found a way to have fun, even when the plan did not go exactly as planned.Through every trip, every late night conversation, every normal everyday moment, and every new chapter, our friendship has always been at the center of our relationship. We genuinely just love doing life together. Whether we are somewhere new or sitting at home doing absolutely nothing, being together has always felt easy and has always felt like home.Then, on May 17, 2026, during a walk through Green Meadows Preserve, Tommy got down on one knee and asked Nyla to marry him. With a photographer secretly there to capture the entire moment, Nyla said yes, of course, and what started as a regular walk became one of the best days of our lives.From our first date at Chili’s to more than five years of memories, traveling, growing, laughing, loving, and building a life together, we would not change a thing about how our story unfolded.And now, we get to start our favorite chapter yet.On July 17, 2027, we finally get to say “I do” surrounded by the family and friends who have loved us, supported us, and watched our relationship grow along the way. We are so excited to celebrate this moment with the people who mean the most to us and even more excited for everything that comes after it.From a Hinge match to husband and wife. We cannot wait!
